After many trips to Florence and making connections with some of the Fiorentina Ultras, one sunny day we were invited into the central part of the Curva.
This isn’t the place where visitors can just access freely, it’s seen as a sacred space.
It’s also not for the faint hearted! We actually only lasted until half-time until we moved, even though we are experienced football fans.
There’s jostling, pushing, beer being thrown…it was a good job that it was a hot day because at one point we were soaked.
Having said all of that, it was the most incredible experience and atmosphere, and one we were privileged to be able to enjoy.
