Fresh pressed linen shirt, white chinos, navy blazer, black Chelsea boots, and simple yet sophisticated black spectacles, Stanley Tucci’s dress code is as elegant and understated as the man himself. I don’t know precisely when the world fell in love with Stanley Tucci, but the world is in love with Stanley Tucci.
I tweeted, “When I’m older I want to be Stanley Tucci,” and the replies suggested that so does everybody else (except for those wanting to be his wife). So when news came last month that the BBC had secured the rights to air his Searching for Italy series, there was a collective gioia.
“I have the metabolism of a teenager,” Tucci boasts in Bologna, which is just as well as the carb-heavy feast he undertakes over six episodes. It would have me hitting the treadmill and hiding from the weighing scales as though it was January 2nd.
